Tanja Merlo-Wobmann moved to South Africa in 2019 – a country she instantly fell in love with: its people, its creativity, and its impressive diversity. With her background in fashion and marketing – she studied Fashion Marketing & Merchandising in Los Angeles and then worked for a fashion brand in Switzerland – it was only a matter of time before she turned her own vision into reality.
The idea for N3YH was born during her pregnancy. Tanja was looking for sleepwear that looked beautiful, felt exceptionally good, and in which one would feel comfortable even when visitors came after giving birth. However, she found nothing that was simultaneously stylish, comfortable, and high-quality. This sparked the desire to create luxurious sleepwear and loungewear from bamboo – a fabric that is soft, sustainable, and ideal for sensitive skin.
What drives Tanja is not just design, but the conviction that self-love is essential. That’s exactly what N3YH stands for: moments in which you do something good for yourself – small breaks of pampering that nourish body, mind, and soul.
Each collection is created with Tanja's personal touch. She loves to develop each design individually and finds her inspiration in nature – in colors, shapes, and moods that fascinate her again and again in her new home.
Tanja is involved in every single step of the creation process. She has thoroughly researched bamboo and carefully built up the entire supply chain.
Today, the high-quality bamboo fibers come from India, and together with her small team of talented women, she is responsible for the entire process – from fiber extraction, fabric production, and printing to cutting, sewing, and selecting the right trims.
Every garment is an expression of her commitment to quality, comfort, and sustainable beauty. N3YH is Tanja's passion project – and you can feel it in every detail.
